＊音楽の力による復興センター・東北は、平成25年度文化庁芸術家派遣事業〔東日本大震災復興支援対応〕の音楽プログラムをコーディネートしています。

山元町は津波被害の大きかった地域で、山下駅までのJR常磐線はいまだに復旧していません。浜吉田駅から会場までの道々には放置されたままの住宅や更地を多く目にしました。その一方で地元名産のいちご栽培用のハウスがどんどん立ち並んでいます。
今日は山元町立山下中学校へパーカッションの演奏をお届けしました。出演は加藤詢子さん、布田恭子さん、熊谷昇子さん、丹野富美子さん、誉田広耶さんです。
モダンなデザインの立派な体育館は音響も良く、サラウンド効果のように会場全体がマリンバの音色に包まれました。山下中学校のみなさんはちょっとシャイでしたがとてもノリがよく、リズムに乗って合わせて手拍子する生徒や、立ち上がって演奏の様子を熱心に見つめる生徒がありました。出演者の布田恭子さんがこの中学校の吹奏楽部で打楽器の指導しているそうです。みんながんばってね！

In Yamamotocho, an enormous area was damaged by the tsunami. The railroad has yet to be restored. Abandoned homes and vacant lots stand out along the road from the train station to the school. In contrast to this, new buildings used for the cultivation of the area’s well-known strawberries are steadily being built. 
Today we held a percussion performance at Yamashita Junior High School in Yamamotocho.
The musicians: Junko Kato, Kyoko Fuda, Shoko Kumagai, Fumiko Tanno and Hiroya Honda.
